Amanda Ng Xin En
Lesson Learned: Being in Singapore's Public School for 8 years, i never knew Public Speaking was a skill that can be practised or a platform for mentorship. During my years in public school, I picked up skills of Public Speaking from observing and listening to my parent, teachers and seniors speak but i have never found a speaker who communicates for Christ. I have learnt so much through ICC.Most importantly, i have learnt to be humble and to accept critiques others give to my speech. It is not an easy skill to smile at someone who had just said the flaws of your speech but through ICC, i have fully understood that being a good speaker, it means that i needed to be humble and to allow the flaws in my speech become the strength. As a good speaker, the most important skill its all about how your message can fully impact your listeners. ICC have truly been a joy for the past 2 years.
