Teresa M. Moon
Dr. Teresa Moon, President and CEO of the Institute for Cultural Communicators, has supported, equipped, and encouraged home educators for nearly three decades. In the early 90’s, she established a private school for Christian homeschooling families in CA which continues today. In 1998, she founded Communicators for Christ Conferences to train Christian homeschooled students to exercise and refine communication skills for the glory of the One who designed us to communicate. Now she is an internationally-recognized seminar speaker, education consultant, author, and leadership coach.
While educating her own sons and equipping other homeschool parents in the U.S., Dr. Moon designed curriculum and training programs to deliver ongoing resources and coaching to families in their own communities. Through ICC, this curriculum has now been distributed to 20+ countries and supports chapters and/or delegates in 7+ countries.
Each year, Dr. Moon travels globally, leading educational conferences to train students, teachers, and parents to become “cultural communicators” who can impact culture through relevant communication and authentic leadership. Teresa’s students have been invited to speak on tens of thousands of platforms to influence audiences for Christ - including the White House, Congress, the G8 Summit, the United Nations and churches, schools and heads of state in more than twenty nations.
Dr. John McLean
Board Member and Businessman
Dr. John McLean sees a better future — he’s a visionary and an entrepreneur. His latest project is the building of a string of micro-hospitals in the U.S. All of his six children received years of ICC training, and he’s convinced that his two grandchildren, who participate in an ICC chapter currently, will be prepared for their futures because of it. East Asia is special to him; three of his adopted children are of Asian descent, and he has done years of work with a Philippine orphanage. This is his third trip to East Asia with an ICC team! He believes in the benefit of the ICC training and has frequently backed that up with donations to make it possible for students to experience the transformation of the ICC community.
Director of People Care
With a degree in education and twenty years’ experience in home education, Lisa McLean has found a place in ICC to do what she loves to do: to work out problems — in relationship. As Director of People Care, she equips people to parent, to mentor, to love well. Her husband and she have six children, two who interned with ICC and one who serves as an ICC Area Leader. They now have two grandchildren in ICC chapters! Five of their children are adopted, three of them are Asian by birth; she loves the idea of mixing up the races! Having traveled to East Asia three times with ICC, working with our global community challenges her to develop new skills and ways of thinking, to learn from other cultures, and to appreciate the immensity and diversity of the Church. Her passion: to disciple Christ-followers in wisdom, respect, and holiness.
Director, International Relations
Cassandra spent her growing up years on sheep and cattle farms in New Zealand before completing a degree in Management Studies with a focus on Organisational Development and Change. Her experiences in the army, the agriculture industry, farm education, business lending as a relationship manager, living abroad, and in educating her own children make her uniquely qualified as a mentor and leader. In 2014 Cassandra and her girls attended an ICC event in Singapore. She found a community where she could contribute her diverse talents and her passion for people and strategic planning. She now serves as the Director of International Relations, based in Singapore. She enjoys networking with people from different cultures and helping people to catch a vision for the possibilities God has in store for them and their families.
A physical therapist by training, An worked with typically- and atypically-developing children for twenty years before making a careershift. She began homeschooling her children full-time, and in the past 8 years, has found her niche in ICC where she can fulfill one of her passions: equipping and mentoring adults. An is of Belgian descent and a strong advocate for intergenerational and intercultural communication. She loves learning by immersion and is excited to be joining ICCs IMPACT team traveling to East Asia. An loves the Lord and her vision is to be a reflective listener who creatively reframes thinking so that others can discover the freedom which comes from aligning our wills to His.
Hey, Caitlin Krengel here, from the lovely state of Minnesota with my parents, younger brother, and our fuzzy little dog. My life is a hodgepodge of miscellaneous adventures, most of which involve learning about new ideas, working on creative projects, connecting with people, and working towards becoming a better storyteller. The best part of these adventures is the people who I get to share them with, and I am so excited to meet you and hear about your latest adventure!

Hello, my name is Anna Hoecke. I'm from South Carolina where I enjoy warm summers and warm winters. I love to spend time outside whenever I can, and can often be found playing ultimate Frisbee with my friends. I enjoy going on long road trips with my friends or family. I have two older brothers, both of whom treat me like their baby sister. I get more joy from my family and friends being near me than any beautiful sight the Earth can offer. I love being creative, excited, and looking fashionable. I cannot wait to work with this team, and I hope I get to meet you!

Hello everyone, my name is Charlotte Gunther and my family has been involved with speaking organizations (most predominantly ICC) for as long as I remember. As an 18 year old preparing to make my way in the world, I have seen the importance of skills like communicating your ideas and teamwork, and ICC has helped me develop those skills. Other than being a part of ICC, I enjoy creating with different mediums, learning about anything, and baking. I am excited to continue to grow and learn in this community as I continue my journey.

Hello! Tis I, Erika! I’m a driven, adventure-loving Ambassador for the Institute for Cultural Communicators. I’ve been feeding my love of servant leadership in ICC for the last six years. Hello there, my name is Joshua Krengel. I live in Minnesota with my Mom, Dad, Sister and dog. We have pretty chilly winters in Minnesota in fact last year we hit a record cold at -38 c, Uff-da. When it's this cold I would recommend becoming a human burrito by wrapping yourself in as many blankets as you can find. We also have long winters in Minnesota lucky for me I enjoy snowboarding. When there isn't snow on the ground I enjoy biking as well as creating media, doing random creative projects, or playing some high quality video games with friends.

Hello my name is Miguel. I’m 18 and I live in Ohio. I joined ICC in 2010, and have been part of a chapter ever since. My experience in ICC has helped me to come out of my shell, and leave it behind for good. I’ve used my training outside of the organization too, speaking at nursing homes, helping with my church’s children ministry, and ordering my own food at restaurants. Two things I take entirely too seriously are dance and art. I draw a lot, play a lot of video games, and I’m exceedingly good at both of them. I enjoy sports too, for example, I once caught a ball. On a more serious note, my skills include connecting to people and creating an inviting atmosphere. If you want to know more about me, I guess you’ll have to meet me in person ;)

Hi! I’m PoeAn Lu, an eighteen-year-old from, New Jersey. I, along with my sister, have been a part of ICC for 7 years. I have even been the only student leader in one of them for a year. When I’m not doing ICC-related things, you can find me doing many things like music. I like to listen to music like movie or video game soundtracks. I also enjoy playing the piano and have recently picked up the ukulele. One thing I really enjoy about the ICC community is the connection that people have with each other. One of my favorite things to do is to connect with people and help them feel included in new environments. I am so excited to see you all and get new opportunities to welcome you all into our ICC community!
Hi. It's Aaron. I’m from Singapore and have been a part of ICC for 7 years…come to think of it, that’s a pretty long while. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the drums, electric guitar and listening to bluesy music. Petting my Bengal cat also takes up a lot of my schedule. I remember the first IMPACT instructors I interacted with and how they influenced me—I’m super pumped to have a chance to be that influence for other people!
When I was 10 years old I moved from a small goat farm in New Zealand to an even smaller apartment in Singapore. I've considered myself an honorary Singaporean ever since. It's been 7 years now, and I've spent them traveling, eating, studying, and falling in love with the world of media production. I'm looking forward to the places our IMPACT team is going because there's nothing quite like experiencing new experiences with good friends except getting to share those experiences with all of you!
Hi, I'm Charis, from Malaysia! I love flowers, artsy things, writing, organizing, connecting ideas, and most importantly, connecting with people. Connections are something I love and are very important to me. Over the past 4 years that I've been involved in ICC, I have been transformed immensely in learning to connect and communicate in different ways, and I can't wait to share that with you! I’m thrilled to be traveling with my fellow teammates to meet and connect with you at our upcoming East Asia events!
Hey there! My name is Elise Normand. I love to make things beautiful, and creativity is a language I’m fluent in. Traveling fills me with adventure and excitement, and I’m beyond stoked to be visiting East Asia with my fellow teammates. I’m excited to learn from you and work alongside you in the upcoming weeks!
Hello, everyone. My name is Genesis McGruder. I’m from Maryland and I live with my family of 6 and I’m the oldest. I have two little brothers and one sister. My ideal pastime is hanging out with my family and friends. I have the most fun when I’m simply spending quality time with those I love. I am an introvert so in my alone time I like to write stories and hear/read/watch other’s stories. I’m so excited to meet you all!!
I am an enthusiastic speaker and creator of media, always willing to use my skills to help others. I enjoy connecting with people and mentoring others. Hailing from Singapore, I love trying new food, good books, and travelling. This IMPACT tour is going to be really exciting for me because this is my first time to the Philippines and also it's my last opportunity to serve together with my friends before I enlist to the police for National Service.
