PREP Team
Program Description:
PREP Team: Pursuing Responsibility and Excellence Purposefully. The role of a PREP Team member is very similar to that of an RSA. PREP Team members will have the opportunity to receive training while they serve. The team will be very busy with their Tour Prep tasks. In an effort to keep things running, the PREP team will be responsible for cooking, indoor and outdoor facility maintenance, grocery shopping and more. In addition, there are several special events that take place during Tour Prep such as commissioning. For these events the PREP Team will decorate, set up and serve, for up to 100 guests. Unique to other ICC training opportunities, the PREP team will also get a behind the scenes perspective of the team and how a conference comes together. This program is highly recommended to anyone interested in applying to intern or simply interested in serving. PREP Team is an overall excellent way to learn while serving others.

Logistics:
ICC (and the IRS) consider this a service/training position rather than normal tuition. That means the funds to cover this position are tax-deductible and are considered donations. Please pay through the donation page (click "Support ICC" above) so that you receive the necessary documentation, and make sure you put your name in the comments box so it is set aside appropriately.
Our guide to fundraising is here: Raising Support. If you or your parents choose to cover the amount without fundraising, it is still tax deductible.
Prep Week(s) Dates: The dates for the 2013 Tour Prep are June 26 – August 6. Over the course of these six weeks we will have three different PREP Teams. . This will give the previous team a chance to train the new team and it will provide extra hands for the bigger events.
Team One
June 27-July 11 (15 days) $350.00
This team arrives a week before the Interns and gets to work with the Summer Staff to prepare for the team’s arrival. This is always an exciting time and we like to try to make it special for the Interns.
Team Two
July 9-25 (17days) $375.00
This team, as with the others, is essential to the success of ICC's Intern Team. Working alongside the Summer Staff and Interns provides an amazing opportunity for leadership and 'followership' development.
Team Three
July 22-August 5 (15 days) $350.00
This team will have much to do! Intern Family Commissioning (July 26-28th) is one of the biggest events of Tour Prep and we won’t be able to pull it off without the help of PREP Team Three! Each Intern Family comes for a weekend of food, celebration and entertainment as they preview everything their Interns have been working on and the PREP Team gets to help make this special for everyone involved. It is a great opportunity to get a taste of all the Intern Team has to accomplish during prep.
PREP Team Leader $600.00: We are also looking for one male applicant and up to two female applicants to come for the entirety of June 26- August 6 to serve as PREP Team Leaders. The male leader will be in charge of collecting all the manly tasks and jobs that need to be done and delegating them out to the other male PREP members. The female leader will be in charge of creating a menu, keeping a grocery list, and overall running the kitchen. These are constant jobs that require delegation and often rotation schedules. The role of PREP Team leader is a great opportunity to learn what it is like to be a leader to your peers, a very challenging role. The Summer Staff will be working closely with PREP Team leaders to guide them through this process.
Transportation: PREP Team members are responsible for their transportation to and from PREP. However, those flying in will be offered transportation to and from the Nashville, TN airport.
Applications: Due by April 30, 2013
