Young Speaker's Guild Training Series

UPDATE: The Young Speakers Guild is undergoing a revision that will integrate all aspects of our communication training. These upgrades include critical thinking skills and limited preparation activities. Until the revision is complete and printed, ICC will be making available a non-transferrable PDF download that can be purchased for each student.

Competence and Character for the Public Platform

The Young Speakers Guild Training Series is designed to train student speakers in character and competence for the community platform.

GOAL: To train students to become well-rounded communicators in order that they would share messages of hope in the culture

From Webster’s Dictionary: Well-rounded: pleasingly varied and balanced; covering well the necessary areas of instruction

This resource will be an indispensable tool for:

Preparing students for the public platform using a 6 - Step formula approach.
Managing varying levels of experience within the Chapter.
Growing your Chapter.
Providing motivation and incentives for students.
Measuring student achievement.
Guiding students to develop an invaluable record of their training and Community Speaking.

These speakers will be prepared for special events and opportunities. Your Chapter’s Young Speakers Guild can be promoted in the community for many kinds of events. Young speakers will create programs individually and/or together to present to community organizations. Students will discover their sphere of influence broadening and communities will discover that our youth have a message to share through delighting, informing, and persuading audiences of all ages.
