ICC's New Launch

We have taken student leadership to a whole new level, a national level! It is with much excitement that we announce the National Student Leader Council (NSLC). We invite you to meet the council, visit with them, share your thoughts and ideas and ask them about their new role.

The National Student Leader Council (NSLC) will embark on a journey through uncharted territory. A journey of excitement, challenge and possibility that will pave the way for future ICC leaders. ICC is committed to assisting in making this journey not only possible, but successful; the future is now, get ready!

The role of the NSLC at IGNITE and National Convention will involve various assignments such as, but not limited to:

planning, facilitating and executing the Student Leader Reception
assisting/teaching a coaches workshop
assisting/teaching a SL lab/workshop
prepare & present a NSLC "snapshot".

In addition to the National events other areas of pioneering would include:

supporting and influencing ICC's social media
assisting/teaching a coaches workshop at Flood the Five events
SL policy making, reporting, and proposals
forecasting and planning the SL conference calls (themes, dates, agenda, facilitate)
serving as a liaison between Students and National Leadership

As you can see, the NSLC will be modeling the way and furthering the ICC vision. As James M. Kouzes so notably states in The Student Leadership Challenge, "It's about leadership that creates the climate in which challenging opportunities are transformed into remarkable successes”
