ICCFS Tournament Registration Instructions

Note: Please read through all instructions prior to registering for the tournament.
You may wish to print out these instructions to assist you in registering.

1. Chapter Member Number (CMN): All participants must register with a current Chapter Member Number. If you do not have a CMN, contact your Chapter Sponsor.

2. Registration period: It is possible for events to fill during open registration for a tournament, so register early. A maximum of five(5) speech events are allowed. 

3. Eligibility for events: To register for Phase II-III events or Guild events, participant must be eligible at the time of registration.

4. Student Evaluator- apply through online registration for ICCFS event.

Student Evaluator eligibility is as follows:
1)   be a past or present Student Leader, a 2010-2011 RSA, or a 2011 Apprentice.
2)   be at least 15 years of age by date of event.
3)   have competed in ICCFS within the past 12 months.
4)   compete in YSG II or higher at this tournament.
5)   have spoken with your Chapter Sponsor and received their oral recommendation.

5. Duo and Public Forum: Each participant must register separately. For speakers competing in Duo Interpretation and/or Public Forum you will need to provide your partner’s name. Registration for these events is not complete until both partners have registered.

6. RBB or CIA: Students in Phase 2/3 may only register for either Radio Broadcasting or Cultural Issues Analysis. Registration will not allow both to be selected. 

7. Time/date stamp: Events are filled in the order in which participants are fully registered. Your time/date stamp is when the last partner registers. (e.g., if you register on the first day and your partner registers at 5 pm on the last day, the later date and time will be your team’s/duo’s time/date stamp.)

8. Registration changes: If you make a mistake or decide to change a speech event during the registration period, you will need to re-register for the tournament, resulting in a later time/date stamp for ALL your events, including Public Forum.

9. Changes AFTER close of registration: Only drops, no add-ons, will be accepted after close of registration. Please carefully consider your event registration. After registration closes, it is very difficult for the tournament staff to adjust for your event drops.

10. Chaperones: All participants must be accompanied by a parent or chaperone who will act as a judge and tournament volunteer. The Chaperone is expected to be available on site for the entire duration of their student’s participation in the tournament. Please register online for judging using form in tournament registration.

11. Tournament Fees:

Phase I Events - $25 for 1-3 Speech Events

Phase II and III Speech Events - $25 for 1-5 Speech Events (Public Forum extra)

Phase II-III Public Forum - $25 per Debater

Phase II-III add on Speech Events (Phase I Events) - $15 for 1-3 Events

Guild Phase Speech Events - $20 1-2 Events

Guild Phase add on Speech Events (Phase II-III Events) - $15 for 1-5 Speech Events

12. Refunds: are in accordance with the following cancelation policy:
Within 72 hours of registration: 100% of registration paid is refundable upon receipt of written notification. 
After 72 hours of registration: 90% of registration is refundable upon receipt of written notification. (10% applied to credit card charges and administrative processing fees.)
After registration closes: NO refunds will be provided after registration closes for any reason. 
Returned Check Policy:  There is a $20 fee for all returned checks.
