Chapter Eligibility and Requirements - Institute for Cultural Communicators

Each Chapter shall be sponsored by an adult (at least 25 years old) to be referred to as the “Chapter Sponsor.” Chapter Sponsorship is a one-year commitment.
Chapters equal to twenty (20) or more eligible students will appoint at least one adult Assistant Sponsor.
A Chapter shall have a minimum of seven (7) eligible students from at least three (3) families.
An eligible student shall be ages 6 through 18.
Chapter Sponsors and Assistant Sponsors shall be in agreement with the ICC Statement of Faith.
Chapter leadership, including Sponsors and Assistant Sponsors, shall have attended an ICC training event within the last twelve months with a student 11 years or older. Student Leaders shall have attended an ICC training event within the last twelve months. Training events include Communicators for Christ Fall Tour, IGNITE, Flood the Five, and Summer Camp.

Chapter Requirements

Chapter participants will be required to present on a minimum number of non-competitive community speaking platforms* in addition to the Chapter presentation.
Members age 6 to 11 are required to present on at least two (2) community speaking platforms between May 16, 2011 and May 15, 2012.
Members ages 12 to 19 are required to present on at least four (4) community speaking platforms between May 16, 2011 and May 15, 2012.
Chapters will complete a Chapter presentation by May 15
Chapter Sponsor and or Assistant Sponsor will be on a minimum of six (6) Area Calls.
Progress reports will be updated by October 15, February 15 and May 15.

*A platform will count as one where the major activity on the platform involves public speaking in the community, takes place in a non-competitive setting, and does not require personal remuneration for the activity. These guidelines apply to individual speaking goals as well as to the Chapter presentation.
